    Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the HJPC BiH

    The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH), at its session held on April 17, 2014. appointed Hajro Pošković to the position of Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the HJPC BiH.

    Hajro Pošković is a law graduate who has passed the bar exam. He completed his primary and secondary education in Mostar, where he graduated from the Faculty of Law. He obtained the title of Master of Laws after completing his postgraduate studies in the field of European integration.

    He spent most of his working life as a legal adviser at the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a legal advisor to the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Pošković was engaged in the field of protection of the human rights of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the period from 1998 to 2003, he participated in the development and implementation of regulations governing the restitution of property of displaced persons and refugees. After that, he worked as a legal advisor to the Special Envoy of the High Representative in BiH on the drafting and adoption of the Statute of the City of Mostar.

    In addition to his engagement in the implementation of Annex VII of the Dayton Agreement, Mr. Pošković was involved in promoting the rights of socially vulnerable categories of the population and participated in drafting and monitoring the implementation of laws in the field of social protection of BiH citizens.

    In cooperation with the HJPC BiH and the competent ministries, since 2011 he has participated in the planning and implementation of the project of amendments to the Law on Civil Procedure. In cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights, he initiated the procedure of amendments to the procedural provisions of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination.

    As a lecturer at the Centers for the Education of Judges and Prosecutors, he has been working on the promotion of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination since 2011. Mr. Pošković participated in the production of numerous publications published by the OSCE Mission to BiH. He has also participated in numerous domestic and international professional seminars and conferences in the field of human rights and civil liberties.
